On June 5, 2026, C Capital CEO Ben Cheng attended the Fourth “Victoria Harbour Night Talk”, co-hosted by DL Holdings Group Limited (1709.HK) together with C Capital, Soochow Securities (Hong Kong), Antalpha, and other institutions. The forum was held at Cloud 39, The Henderson, Central, Hong Kong, under the theme “The AI Wave: Global Investment & Hong Kong Opportunities,” and attracted over 300 investors, financial institutions, family office clients, academic experts, and dozens of media outlets from around the world.

The forum featured in-depth discussions on core topics including the disruption of AI on traditional finance and the reshaping of digital finance. C Capital CEO Ben Cheng joined Stephen Cheung, Executive Director and CEO of YF Life Insurance; Yuanchun Xu, CEO of Xiaoice Technology; and Dan Kong, Co-founder and COO of Video Rebirth, in a lively panel discussion on the topic “AI Awakening: The Challenger of the Financial Industry.”
Ben shared his perspective on the current state of AI applications in the financial sector. He noted that AI’s penetration of the financial industry remains at an early stage, and although many investment banks and hedge funds have begun adopting AI, the core challenge is whether AI can genuinely generate additional revenue and meaningfully improve real-world user experience. He said: “We have yet to see a clearly viable way for AI to replace human roles or significantly generate profit, but over the next two to three years, as large models continue to iterate, this situation is likely to change rapidly.”

Ben emphasized that as an investment institution, C Capital has already built deep positions across the full AI value chain, with a particular focus on the intersection of AI in robotics and the energy sector, and is continuously seeking emerging segments that bridge renewable energy with AI compute demand.
Ben outlined C Capital’s investment criteria and decision-making logic in the AI + financial services space. When evaluating an AI project, the first thing to assess is the team, followed by the business logic, with the ultimate focus on real-world applications and revenue potential. For example, when investing in a robotics company several years ago, the founding team demonstrated a clear and credible commercial path — not only with a core product line, but also with the ability to simultaneously advance multiple customer co-deployment projects. This gave C Capital the conviction to invest, and the project ultimately delivered rapid and simultaneous growth in both revenue and valuation.

The forum also explored topics including the impact of AI on traditional financial roles, emerging business models in a world where traditional industry boundaries are dissolving, and the development opportunities for digital finance in Hong Kong — providing the industry with a platform for meaningful intellectual exchange. C Capital looks forward to working with more partners to collectively embrace the new global investment opportunities brought by the AI wave.
